To commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War our whole school came together for a special Remembrance Assembly to honour those who have sacrificed their lives in war for us. Every class took part; all the children performed brilliantly. We were lucky enough to have two members from the armed forces join us, they spoke to all the children and then read a poem. Sid Webster, who is regular visitor to our school, wrote his own poem. It was a very moving assembly. A big thank you to Mrs Wright and Mrs Meath for arranging it. Everyone in school then took part in creating a human poppy on our school field which was captured by a drone.
We will always remember and never forget.
